USA Rugby has revealed a partnership with sportswear brand Castore which becomes the official apparel partner for the senior Men’s and Women’s Eagles as well as all junior national teams.
The six-year collaboration will see players wear their new kit from Spring this year with additional designs launching for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021.
Ross Young, CEO of USA Rugby, commented: “This partnership is an exciting start to a new year and a new chapter for USA Rugby. As we continue to grow on the world stage, we look forward to having a partner that not only delivers a compelling portfolio in design technology, but also one that believes in investing in the growth of American rugby over the next several years.”
Furthermore, the deal marks Castore’s second partnership with a national rugby team, joining several other deals such as Samoa Rugby, Saracens, Sir Andy Murray, Adam Peaty, Newcastle United, England Cricket and many others.
The brand has stated that its development team ‘emphasises the latest technology and advancements in sportswear’, whilst the partnership expects to deliver ‘the best in performance apparel’ as the Eagles compete on the world’s biggest stages.
Pascal Lafitte, Director of Partnerships at Castore, added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with another national rugby union team in USA Rugby. USA have developed rapidly over the recent years, much like Castore, and we look forward to giving their fans something else to get excited about in the build up to Rugby World Cups in 2022, 2023 and beyond.”
In further diversifying its range of partners, the enterprise also joined forces with Kent Cricket in December 2021 to provide a new range of training kits for both the Kent’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as outfitting the club’s Talent Pathway and Disability Squads.
In the same year, Castore also collaborated with Premier League team Newcastle United to produce a bespoke design kit for the Magpies as they embarked on their fifth consecutive season in the English top-flight.
