DAZN Group has announced a deal to secure rights to stream the upcoming Soccer Champions Tour 2022 in Japan, Italy and Canada, taking place from 23 – 31 July.

The rights deal, brokered by sports, events and talent management company, IMG, is exclusive in both Japan and Italy, and non-exclusive in Canada.

Broadcast live and on demand on DAZN from 22 – 30 July, audiences in Las Vegas, Dallas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles will be ‘part of the passion’ of the game.

As European football returns to the USA, five of LaLiga, Serie A, and Liga MX‘s clubs descend on America’s Southwest and West Coast this summer.

The platform’s further portfolio of live sports and original programming, includes top-flight football leagues and competitions such as UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Bundesliga, LaLiga and Serie A.

Furthemore, the firm has stated that it looks to push its growth strategy to broadcast ‘the widest range of engaging sports with passionate fan bases’ to global audiences.

Earlier this month, DAZN again looked to offer ‘richer’ content in launching a boxing-focused NFT global marketplace, DAZNBOXING.io, with the first collection including ‘exciting moments’ from 2021 DAZN fights.

This new offering was part of, what the firm described as, its ‘evolution into a 360° entertainment ecosystem’, where fans can engage with different sports in various ways.
