Nottingham Forest has announced two appointments to strengthen its Senior Management team.

Wendy Taylor has been hired as the Premier League team’s Director of Communications, whilst Tyson Henly has been named Chief Commercial Officer.

Taylor spent eight years as Head of Media & Communications at Newcastle United and, more recently, as strategic communications lead for the senior England Women’s team at The Football Association.

She led the communications strategy for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019 and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. Taylor was also appointed by the British Olympic Association to lead on communications for Team GB Football at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Moreover, Henly has over two decades of global sports marketing and sales experience across several different roles in sport.

She joins the recently promoted team after three years as Chief Commercial Officer at AS Monaco of Ligue 1.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Wendy and Tyson, who will provide us with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their respective fields, thanks to their extensive backgrounds in domestic, European and international football,” commented Nottingham Forest Chairman, Nicholas Randall KC.

Furthermore, as a former UEFA executive, Tyson advised a number of big brands, media organisations and federations in sport for notable events in European football, including the European Championships and the UEFA Champions League.

Randall KC continued: “We are striving to establish ourselves as a top flight club both on and off the pitch and it is vital that we are therefore able to deliver at the highest level across the business.”

The club aims to build on what it has described as a ‘strong Senior Leadership team’, following the recent arrival of Filippo Giraldi as Sporting Director.
