DAZN and Visa have announced an on-platform fan activation partnership covering knockout stages of UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Through the collaboration, viewers will be presented with a range of interactive options, such as quizzes, live chat and viewer polls, attempting to empower fans to participate actively in real-time discussions and activities to create a community among women’s football enthusiasts while enhancing their overall viewing experience.

Esmeralda Negron, Co-CEO of Women’s Sport at DAZN, said: “We are thrilled to have a sponsor like VISA come on board to launch an interactive feature that connects and engages women’s football fans globally on DAZN. Our aim is to cultivate a global community for women’s football and with VISA’s support, we look forward to bringing this vision to life.”

As part of this initiative, fans will be invited to send messages of support to their favourite teams or players, with Team Visa footballers also contributing to the campaign by sharing their own messages of support.

Founded in 2000, the Team Visa programme aims to provide athletes with the tools, resources and support they need to thrive on and off the pitch. Globally, Team Visa is made up of athletes from different countries and sports backgrounds.

Visa has aligned itself with various sporting events for decades, most recently it partnered with the 2024 Paris Olympics to create unique debit and credit cards. The payments giant also partnered with F1’s AlphaTauri and Red Bull, with the F1 team now renamed to Visa Cash App RB.
