Manchester United has revealed Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon brand as the 2024/25 front-of-shirt sponsor for both the men’s and women’s teams.
As per the agreement, the Snapdragon brand will feature on the home, away and third kits. This deal is an extension of an exciting strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Manchester United’s new principal shirt partner.
The new kit was unveiled on 1 July by Adidas ahead of the men’s pre-season tour, which will take place in Europe and North America. As part of the pre-season tour, United will play against Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium for the Snapdragon Cup in San Diego – where Quallcomm’s headquarters are located.
Qualcomm Incorporated is an American multinational corporation, which creates semiconductors, software and services related to wireless technology. The company also has an office close to Old Trafford in Trafford Park.
Snapdragon offers a suite of system on a chip (SoC) semiconductor products for mobile devices designed and marketed by Qualcomm Technologies, which can be found in more than three billion devices globally.
Don McGuire, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Qualcomm Incorporated, said: “We are excited to expand on our existing collaboration with Manchester United and see the Snapdragon brand featured on the Manchester United kit.
“With 1.1 billion passionate fans and engaged followers around the world, Manchester United is one of the most celebrated names in global sport. As the club’s new front of shirt partner, we aim to catapult the Snapdragon brand to new heights, building not only increased awareness, but also understanding and affinity for the role that Snapdragon plays in powering amazing experiences across billions of devices.”
To launch the kit, the club published a video that featured Manchester United legend Eric Cantona.
Furthermore, Snapdragon has developed an augmented reality (AR) experience, which is accessible by scanning the Snapdragon logo on the front of the kit. The experience will bring fans onto the pitch of Old Trafford and feature exclusive Manchester United content throughout the season.
Jean-Claude Blanc, Chief Executive of Manchester United, said: “The launch of our new home kit is an exciting moment before the start of every season and especially so this year as we welcome Snapdragon as our new principal shirt partner.
“While the shirt will be the most visible symbol of our collaboration, we are looking forward to using Snapdragon’s processors to enable ground-breaking experiences for fans across the globe, deepening their engagement with the football club they love.
“We always strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible and we are excited to be partnering with a company at the forefront of innovation.”
Manchester United’s move towards the technology sector stands out at the moment in the Premier League, with several clubs selecting gambling sponsorships.
One club choosing this route, despite an upcoming ban on such sponsorships from the 2026/27 season, is Crystal Palace. The club announced Philippine-based online casino Net88 as its front-of-shirt sponsor in June.
