Midea continues football sponsorship growth with Sevilla FC

Spanish La Liga club Sevilla FC have confirmed that home appliance company Midea has its latest shirt sponsor ahead of its upcoming fixture this weekend.

The Midea brand will be shown across Sevilla’s kits in its next game against Rayo Vallecano at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán as one of its main sponsors, with the agreement spanning across the rest of the current season and the whole of the 2025/26 season.

Sevilla FC President, José María del Nido Carrasco, said: “It’s an agreement in which the club has been working intensively for a long time to find the ideal partner.

“Midea is a company of undoubted international prestige, it is among the 500 biggest companies in the world according to Forbes, and shares with Sevilla FC its commitment to technological development, as well as one of our main characteristics, the ability to overcome. We are very happy with this agreement.”

The Spanish club is not the only football team Midea has partnered with – to not only lend its services to fans, but also increase its exposure in the largest sports market globally.

The air conditioning and home appliances company has been a partner of Premier League champions Manchester City for the past several years, bringing digital campaigns to life on the club’s digital platforms, such as the #MideaWorldClassAward.

Whilst unconfirmed, the partnership with Sevilla could see similar digital engagement content to grow closer to fans of the Spanish club and in turn, draw customers to its range of services.

Speaking on the Sevilla deal, Juan Rigol, CEO of Frigicoll, said: “This agreement with a club of the stature of Sevilla FC will allow us to reinforce the strength in the Spanish market of the Midea brand, which manufactures no less than 20% of the world’s air conditioners.

“Midea is a guarantee of quality, both in its air conditioning products and in its wide range of smart home appliances. We are thrilled to associate our name with an organisation like Sevilla FC, which has written some of the most exciting pages in the recent history of Spanish football and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming years.”
