Eleven sports nets MLS rights in Belgium and Luxembourg

Eleven Sports has strengthened its portfolio of football rights in Belgium and Luxembourg with the acquisition of exclusive live coverage of Major League Soccer (MLS).

The agreement, which kicks off this weekend will see the broadcast showing at least one game per match week for the next four seasons. It also includes exclusive live rights to all MLS regular season matches, the MLS Cup Playoffs and the MLS Cup decider.

Guillaume Collard, Managing Director Eleven Sports in Belgium and Luxembourg, commented: “Major League Soccer is another great addition to our football portfolio with more big-name players in a rapidly developing league coming to Eleven Sports for the next four seasons. By adding MLS to live and exclusive action from LaLiga, Serie A and Bundesliga, we have strengthened our position as the go to destination for football fans in Belgium and Luxembourg.”

The deal comes as the MLS continues to enjoy a period of momentum globally, with it also recently announcing its expansion from 24 teams to 26 next time out.

The league currently boasts a host of global football icons including Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger; as well as former Belgian Red Devils Laurent Ciman and Roland Lamah. Alejandro Pozuelo also made the switch from Belgian side KRC Genk to Toronto FC in March this year.

In addition to MLS, LaLiga, Serie A and Bundesliga, sports fans in Belgium and Luxembourg also have exclusive access to a wide range of content on Eleven Sports including; NBA, NFL, English FA Cup, UFC and much more.
