Southampton Football Club has announced learncrypto.com, a crypto education platform, as its official training kit partner.

Learncrypto.com will become the Premier League side’s training kit provider for both the first team and the B Team throughout the 2021/22 season, as the new branded sportswear  is set to debut ahead of the Sunday clash against Wolves.

Sarah Batters, Director of Marketing and Partnerships, commented: “We are proud to be partnering with learncrypto.com, a non-profit crypto education platform that is providing opportunities to learn about blockchain and crypto, during a time when the sector is growing exponentially.

“Keeping pace with new technologies is increasingly tough, so we support learncrypto.com’s mission to give confidence and foundational knowledge to those wanting to interact with cryptocurrencies or blockchain in the future.”

The site is a non-profit organisation which is funded by the Yolo Group and other cryptocurrency market leaders, including the club’s Main Club Partner, Sportsbet.io.

Roman German, Chief Product Officer at Yolo Group, noted: “We believe in the power of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology to improve the lives of millions of people around the world, and the first step towards this is education.

“That’s why we’re so proud to partner with learncrypto.com and Southampton FC to spread the word about the positive impact crypto can have.”

In January this year, The Saints reunited with Hummel in a five-year agreement which saw the sportswear brand produce match, training and travel apparel for the men’s, women’s and academy teams, along with a comprehensive retail offering.

The club however began further involvement in fintech sponsorships in April, where it announced a 3-year extension with its main sponsorship partner The Coingaming Group. The deal was branded the ‘largest agreement in the club’s history’ and saw the continuation of Coingaming’s main brand Sportsbet.io as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor.
