Lionesses’ Chloe Kelly has been offered a £2 million Land Rover sponsorship, according to reports.

The Mail stated that Kelly’s contract is already in negotiations, but the striker is said to be ‘in demand’ from potential sponsors.

After receiving an offer to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, the Manchester City forward’s spokeswoman has said that her main focus was on football, but she would not rule this out.

Also taking on partnership opportunities, Leah Williamson, England Women’s Captain, has already agreed a deal with Gucci

The news follows the Lioness’s EURO victory last month, where the team beat Germany 2-1 at Wembley stadium.

Speaking to Insider Sport last week, Sam Patterson, Marketing Director at Footy.com, discussed the reasons behind the spike of engagement for the women’s game, particularly from a retail perspective.

Patterson suggested that women’s football has previously been overlooked from a commercial standpoint.

“It’s about capturing that spirit that’s in the nation at the moment, supporting those star players who have inspired so many people, and being able to benefit commercially,” she said.
