The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has enhanced its agreement with Socios.com as the latter becomes the exclusive provider of the official Fan Token, $ARG.

Until 2026, the AFA will look to build upon its ‘interactive digital ecosystem’ with a focus on Web3. The release aims to help the country’s football fans to interact with the team and gain rewards through the digital asset created on the Chiliz blockchain.

Claudio Tapia, President of AFA, commented on the agreement: “We are very happy to announce the continuity and extension of our commercial agreement with Socios.com.

“It is important for our Association to continue generating digital income, as in this case the Fan Tokens ARG, which also allows us to be close to the National Team fans around the world.

“In this important year for AFA we want to promote all our projects and increase the presence of our brand in all markets.Through this agreement we can work and grow in these aspects together with Socios.com.”

Furthermore, fans/token holders can participate in team decisions through voting and access ‘exclusive content and fun features’ such as video games, predictors and competitions.

“AFA’s commitment to continue and extend our agreement is great news for Albiceleste fans,” added Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder and CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com.

“As strategic partners, we will constantly work with AFA to create new avenues of interaction for fans through the Fan Token $ARG.

“We are very excited about the many opportunities that lie ahead, starting with the FIFA World Cup this year that fans will be able to enjoy as part of a vibrant digital community through Socios.com.”
