Betsafe has announced its sponsorship of the King Mindaugas Cup Final 4 annual basketball event in Šiauliai, Lithuania.
The Betsson-owned brand is already the title sponsor of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL), known as Betsafe-LKL.
The operator said on Twitter: “We’re excited to share that Betsafe sponsored the King Mindaugas Cup Final 4 basketball annual event in Šiauliai, Lithuania (locally known as Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė).
“The final games took place just two weeks ago and were completely sold out with some 5,000 spectators and were also streamed on National TV. Incredibly, the event reached an audience of 800,000 people – nearly one-third of Lithuania’s entire population!”
As part of the event, the firm hosted the Betsafe Casino 3-point shooting contest, which was also streamed on television.
“We had an amazing time and are so grateful to everyone who participated,” the Betsafe brand added.
Betsson has made significant moves in the sporting sector this year, having partnered with National Association of Professional Football (ANFP) to be named sponsor of the Chilean First Division football league.
Similarly, January also saw the operator extend its collaboration with the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), building on its commitment to promoting the development and growth of football.
