The Canadian Premier League (CPL) has signed a new sponsorship deal with online gaming firm tonybet.

Additional details around the partnership reveal that it will be a multi-year collaboration that will see tonybet become the CPL’s official sports betting and online casino partner.

Mark Noonan, Commissioner of the CPL and CEO of the Canadian Soccer Business, said: “We are excited to add tonybet to our growing roster of CPL sponsors.

“We look forward to working with them on experiences that engage our fans and enhance what it means to be a supporter of the CPL and Canadian soccer in general.”

Further information about the deal also places tonybet as the presenting partner of the CPL’s Match of the Week broadcast that will run on OneSoccer – the league’s official broadcast media partner. The broadcast is aimed at keeping fans up to speed about all news surrounding the CPL over this year’s 28-game season.

Tonybet will also sponsor CPL’s Predictor contest, which allows fans to predict the action for every club’s match over the leagues’ fifth season for free through an interactive digital gaming experience.

Alex Haig, Country Manager Canada for tonybet, added: “We are delighted to get behind the CPL and to take our brand to a growing and passionate fan base.

“With the CPL being one of the fastest growing leagues in Canada tonybet is excited to build and enhance the fan experience.”
