Jump jockey Sean Bowen has been announced as the latest racing brand ambassador at Coral.

The British bookmaker will give its customers ‘exclusive insights’ into his rides at all of the major meetings this season, as well as blogs and video content.

Bowen – son of horse racing trainer Peter Bowen – commented on his new role: “I am delighted to be joining Coral as an ambassador.

“They are a great team who put in and do a lot for racing. Throughout the year hopefully, you can all follow my progress and rides as I chase my first jockeys’ championship.”

The 25-year old currently leads the standings with 20 winners and is 4-1 with Coral to win the current Jump Jockeys Championship. The deal will now see Bowen sport the blue Coral logo on his breeches during his races.

Part of the Gala Coral Group, the company sponsors various ambassadors in British horseracing such as jumps trainer, Joe Tizzard and his stable jockey Brendan Powell, ITV racing presenter Chris Hughes, along with former champion flat jockey, Jim Crowley, to name a few.

David Stevens, a Coral Spokesman, added: “We are delighted to welcome Sean into our team of Coral ambassadors and look forward to giving racing fans the inside track on his season in the coming months.

“Taking our customers closer to the action is what we are all about and few jockeys are better placed to do that in jumps racing than Sean who has continued his great form into the new campaign and is just 4-1 to land a first jockeys’ title this season.”

Bowen, riding Irish-bred racehorse Noble Yeats, placed fourth at the Grand National in April this year.
