Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro has become the latest football player to sign with Under Armour.
Porro has already been seen playing in the Under Armour Shadow Elite 2 boots in recent weeks, which were launched earlier this year. The boots are designed for players who specialise in speed and agility to complement their game.
Now as an official Under Armour athlete, Porro will also wear some of the brand’s latest performance and sportswear products.
He commented: “It’s really exciting to become part of the Under Armour team. Under Armour is constantly looking to strive for more and that mirrors the approach I have to my game.
“There’s no doubt that this partnership will support me to achieve my full potential as an athlete.”
The 24-year-old Spaniard joins the likes of other Under Armour-signed football talent such as Antonio Rudiger, Eddie Nketiah and Fermin Lopez.
This new partnership is another demonstration of Under Armour increasing its relevance in the Spanish market as the business continues to grow in EMEA.
At the Madrid City Football Academy last week, Under Armour held the ‘Power Through Pressure’ challenge with Real Madrid centre-back Rudiger, with 15 participants being put through their paces during a ‘bleep test’ exercise in a test of endurance.
Kevin Ross, Managing Director, Under Armour EMEA, added: “Pedro is a great addition to our rapidly expanding roster of football athletes in EMEA, as we continue to drive our offering in football across our key markets. We look forward to helping him take his game and career to the next level.”
