The Masters will be exclusively shown in Australia this weekend by Foxtel’s streaming service Kayo Sports by a feed from Fox Sports

Often regarded as the most prestigious of golf’s four majors, it becomes the first time The Masters will be exclusively shown by Fox Sports in Australia. All four rounds, as well as On The Range, Live From The Masters, Amen Corner, Featured Groups and holes 15 and 16 will be available to watch on Kayo Sports.

Fox Sports will provide broadcast feeds from Augusta to Foxtel’s streaming service Kayo Sports, which was recently acquired by DAZN late last year.

Warren Smith and Paul Gow will provide commentary on Kayo Sports for The Masters, which is set to feature Australian golfers Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Jason Day, Cameron Smith and Cam Davis

“The anticipation for this year’s Masters tournament is as big as ever,” said Gow.

“Being able to watch five Aussies take on the world’s best golfers in the world’s biggest golf tournament on Kayo Sports is special for fans back home.

“There’s certainly a lot of excitement around them as well, with a former Masters Champion in Adam Scott, Cam Smith and Jason Day both a Major winner and now Min Woo Lee after his first win on Tour, there’s a good chance one of them can walk away with a green jacket.”

The Masters coverage on Foxtel’s Kayo Sports will be one of the first major sporting broadcasts for DAZN after its acquisition of both entities.

DAZN completed its $2bn acquisition earlier this year in a bid to grow its audience in the Australian sporting market.

Shay Segev, DAZN CEO, stated that “Australians watch more sport than any other country in the world”, and is “committed to supporting and investing in Foxtel’s television and streaming services, across both sports and entertainment”.

With five Australian golfers set to compete for the coveted green jacket this weekend, DAZN will be anticipating large-scale interest in Kayo Sports’ coverage.

Talking to Gow, Min Woo Lee commented: “A few of us Aussie golfers are making some waves out here. This is a very special place, Augusta, so it’s one of my dreams to play out here and now I can and everyone of all ages can see.”
