Online sports betting operator Betway has launched a range of Olympic-themed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) challenges, in cooperation with Blast Premier.

An extension of Betway’s ongoing partnership with the esports tournament organiser, the new challenge maps – known as the ‘Spring Games’ – will test be broadcast via the latter’s YouTube and Twitch channels,

Previous Spring Games have amassed millions of views, whilst the ‘Fall Games’ also found success – catching the attention of thousands of viewers and competitors.

A prominent sponsor in the esports space, Betway first partnered with Blast Premier in 2018, in a deal which was renewed in December 2020 for another 12 months.

Additionally, the Malta-based company maintains agreements with various organisations and competitive players, with G2 Esports the most recent addition in its portfolio of partners in the sector.

The firm has also signed agreements with Paris Saint-Germain’s PSG.LGD Dota 2, Brazilian Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team ‘Made in Brazil’ (MiBR) and Berlin International Gaming (BIG).

Outside of esports, Betway has secured partnerships with the National Hockey League (NHL), Surrey County Cricket Club and the Mercedes Cup ATP250 event.

“The Betway Spring Games is the latest addition to the ever-growing portfolio of Counter-Strike maps produced by Betway,” said Adam Savinson, Esports Director, BG Marketing Services, Betway Group. “The maps are a unique way Betway can engage CSGO fans and have become a staple within the community.

“The reception and popularity of the maps has been incredible. We’re proud to be able to continue to innovate in a game that has been around for over 22 years and have already started on planning the next one.”

Gamers participating in the new challenge maps will be able to test their abilities and composure on the new maps, with the highest overall scorer receiving the Betway x Blast golden medal.

Challenge One will test gamers’ agility in a Hurdles game, followed by Surf which will trail their experience and ability, after which they will face the third challenge, the Glass Floor. The final challenge, Competitive Tag, will see the players try to record the least amount of time tagged.
