The US Soccer Federation is looking to bolster its global presence through a new collaboration with SPORTFIVE.

As part of the multiyear collaboration, the group is aiming to elevate the growth of US Soccer when it comes to its media distribution, which will take a central role in the deal.

SPORTFIVE will look to secure international media distribution deals across television and digital platforms for US Soccer’s teams and competitions everywhere outside of the United States, including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams (USMNT and USWNT).

US Soccer Chief Commercial Officer, David Wright, commented on the deal: “We’re thrilled to partner with SPORTFIVE as we continue to increase the accessibility and reach for fans everywhere to support our U.S. National Teams.

“In addition, the opportunity to provide more access for fans globally to enjoy the U.S. Open Cup, SheBelieves Cup, and other U.S. Soccer properties is an important step forward in our continued media evolution.”

The partnership also includes distribution for the SheBelieves Cup, a four-team women’s international tournament that is part of the US. Soccer’s SheBelieves initiative to inspire and ‘empower women and girls in sport and beyond’, as well as the U.S. Open Cup, the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the US.

“U.S. Soccer is driving the growth of the sport across the country and is successfully positioning the United States at the forefront of international soccer,” added Neil Glat, Co-President, Americas at SPORTFIVE.

“Soccer fans have an incredible demand for the sport and want to watch the best soccer competitions, wherever they are played.  We are thrilled to be helping US Soccer and its teams and competitions get additional exposure across international markets and provide even greater access to the very best of American soccer.”
