Betano has extended its partnership with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) until 2030.

The multi-year agreement builds upon a ‘very positive’ two years of working together and follows a 2022 deal that saw the Kaizen Gaming-owned brand become the title sponsor of the country’s main competition, Cupa României Betano.

A spokesperson for Kaizen Gaming highlighted in a release the pair’s ‘shared vision and innovative initiatives’ such as a new competition format, as they aim to bring the game closer to fans both in the stands and at home.

“Our latest endeavour, the TV and digital show ‘Bate Cupa’ promises to shine a spotlight on all 24 qualified teams and their players, showcasing their skills in an entertaining and unconventional manner,” Kaizen continued.

“We are totally committed to introducing even more initiatives to support Romanian football in the coming years, so stay tuned for more updates as we continue to raise the Cupa Romaniei Betano to new heights.”

As mentioned above, the two companies have previously collaborated to elevate the Cupa României Betano – one of the football leagues in the country.

“Two years ago I announced with my esteemed President of the Romanian Football Federation, Razvan Burleanu, the beginning of our journey as partners in the revamped Cupa României Betano,” added Julio Iglesias Hernando, Betano CCO.

“Our goal is the same we had right from the beginning: to elevate together Cupa României Betano to new heights and help the federation in improving and continue developing football in Romania.

“The new format of the competition has attracted great attention from the fans, while initiatives like the TV show Bate Cupa have put the spotlight on teams and their players in an unconventional and entertaining way.”

In November, Betano finalised a global sponsorship agreement for UEFA EURO 2024, which is set to take place in Germany this summer, becoming the first first-ever betting partner of the competition.

Most recently, Betano has bolstered its commitment to football through expanding a deal with Clube Atlético Mineiro, becoming sponsors of the club’s stadium and women’s team.
