Atlético de Madrid has announced a deal with LG Electronics in a bid to transform the Cívitas Metropolitano into one of the best global sports venues.

Under the agreement, LG will install a new ellipse-shaped LED bracket on the roof of Cívitas Metropolitano. This design will integrate into the stadium’s oval and trapezoidal structure, offering a 360-degree visual experience.

Jaime de Jaraíz, CEO of LG Spain, commented: “LG is honoured to work hand in hand with Atlético de Madrid on this exciting project, the most ambitious we have developed to date in the sports field.

“Our LED technology, together with the bespoke design and attention to detail that we will offer in every element of this facility, will make every visit to the stadium an unforgettable experience for fans of good football or any type of spectacle, in line with our motto ‘Life’s Good’.”

The agreement also involves the installation of new high-performance, customised audiovisuals that supports both inside and outside the stadium, enhancing the overall viewing experience for fans.

Óscar Mayo, General Director of Income and Operations at Atlético de Madrid, stated: “LG is the best possible partner to elevate the audiovisual experience of all the spectators who come to the Cívitas Metropolitano. Thanks to this new development, our stadium and the projects of the future City of Sport will become a technological benchmark at the service of our fans”.

The La Liga club has been busy securing partnerships ahead of the 2024/25 season. In May, the club expanded its use of the Socios’ digital token for fan engagement purposes as part of its partnership with Chiliz, a blockchain platform.
