Spanish La Liga side, Valencia CF has confirmed a new partnership with LG Electronics Spain, to become an official supplier of the club in its centenary season.

The partnership will allow the La Liga side to strengthen its commitment to digital technology, as it aims to improve the overall experience for its fans. Utilising LG’s strong position as an innovator within consumer electronics, mobile telephony and household appliances.

The agreement was signed by the President of Valencia CF, Anil Murthy, General Director of Marketing for LG Iberia, Miguel Ángel Fernández and Luis Guerra, Head of Institutional Relations and Strategic Alliances for the company.

LG’s Fernández commented on the agreement: “We are proud to announce LG as a technological partner of Valencia CF. With this collaboration, our state-of-the-art technological teams will be recognised for their innovation on and off the pitch.

“We feel a bond with Valencia CF, one of the most relevant football clubs in Spain and the world, as we share a common passion for innovation and also a commitment to the values ​​of sport. Furthermore, for us it is important to highlight that LG have an historical tie with Valencia, since it was in this city that our company established its first headquarters in Spain, 22 years ago.”

The Spanish club are not only looking for sponsorship expansion off the pitch, but are also striving for silverware on it, as they prepare to take on Scottish champions Celtic in the Europa League round of 32 on Thursday evening.

Insider Insight: In terms of sponsorship value, Valencia are already regarded as one of Spain’s most valuable and prestigious teams, however heading into a centenary year is a prospect that can’t be underestimated when it comes to increasing a team’s attractiveness to potential partners.
