Aston Villa FC has announced plans for a regeneration project at Villa Park, as it looks to generate additional revenue streams.

Set to launch by Christmas 2025, the project includes the introduction of The Warehouse – destined to become the Premier League’s largest beer hall. On matchdays, ticketed supporters can access this venue free of charge, enjoying drinks and flat-screen TVs to enhance their pre-game experience.

Beyond matchdays, The Warehouse will transform into the Midlands’ premier event space, accommodating up to 3,500 guests. This venue will host a range of world-class events, including live music, sports screenings and community activities.

Additionally, the club has announced plans for an expanded North Grounds plaza, designed to improve the matchday experience. This space will host player receptions and serve as a hub, linking Villa Park stadium with The Warehouse and the newly opened club shop.

Chris Heck, President of Business Operations at Aston Villa, said: “This is a transformational project, well on its way to completion for next season.

“We want to create the best matchday experience possible in the Premier League, so we’re giving our fans an open space to do what fans do best – come together to celebrate the players, the game and the lifeblood of this community. And the strategic decision to utilise this space as a world-class entertainment venue adds another pivotal piece to climbing the financial fair play mountain.

“Everything we do is designed to make this club one of the best in the world, on and off the pitch.”

As highlighted by Heck, the project will help Aston Villa establish additional revenue streams – a crucial step for the club to sustain growth and increase player investment while adhering to the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

This approach mirrors moves by other Premier League clubs, such as Manchester City, which became an equal joint venture partner and investor in the Co-op Live arena in 2021.
