Online betting and casino platform Stake has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Chilean football team Club Deportivo Ñublense

The agreement will see the Stake logo branded on the front of Deportivo Ñublense shirts throughout the 2025 Primera División season, as well as the Copa Libertadores, marking only the second time in the club’s history it has competed in South America’s premier club competition.

Francisco Mardones, General Manager at Club Deportivo Ñublense, stated: “We are very pleased to start this agreement with Stake, a brand that shares our passion for football and innovation. This sponsorship will allow our club to continue its growth, reaching new audiences and offering more experiences to our fans.”

The partnership with Deportivo Ñublense sees Stake continue its exploration into the Latin American market, where it most recently acquired an operating license in Peru last August.

The online gaming platform also has sponsorship agreements with high-profile South American sports stars like former Manchester City and Argentina international striker Sergio Agüero to help enhance its brand across the continent.

Now with Deportivo Ñublense branding its logo on the front of its shirt, this brings the total number of football clubs with Stake as its front-of-shirt sponsor to six, carving out a growing international brand.

Nikkita Thomas, Head of Sponsorship, at Stake, commented: “Ñublense are a fantastic club, with a rich history and great fan base. We saw a real underdog story last season as they made it to the final of Copa Chile, and their involvement in the Copa Libertadores is something we are very excited about.

“We are really passionate about expanding our footprint across Latin America, and to be a partner with one of Chile’s most prestigious teams is something we are proud of.”

Last week, Stake confirmed that it will be concentrating on the development of its brand in markets it is active in after being told by the UK Gambling Commission that it must shut down its UK-facing website

A Stake statement read last week that it “has made a strategic decision in mutual agreement with TGP Europe to exit white-label agreements and focus on securing local licences through our in-house platform and operations, building upon our growth in key regulated markets such as our recent expansions into Italy and Brazil”.

The newly-launched online sports betting Brazilian market will be of not just extreme significance to Stake, but operators all across the world, as they look to consolidate their position in one of the most potentially lucrative betting markets in the world.
