Football specific service Dugout has announced an over-the-top (OTT) partnership with Fanatiz that will see the club-owned media company provide live, archive and behind-the-scenes content to the streaming platform.

Through the partnership, Dugout’s content will be integrated in Fanatiz’s current OTT offering, via the Dugout Embed Player, to the platform’s audiences in North, South and Latin America.

Dugout Co-Founder and Chairman, Elliot Richardson, commented: “Signing our first OTT partner is a landmark moment for Dugout and its embed player, as this represents a unique opportunity to deliver international football content via the Dugout’s VOD and LIVE product.

“Fanatiz are an innovative and dynamic OTT platform and through our future close working relationship we will continue to grow our audiences in North, South and Latin America. This new collaboration will benefit both our partner clubs and football fans throughout the Americas.” 

Following the launch of the Dugout LIVE streaming service, Fanatiz will in turn gain streaming opportunities from some of the world’s biggest clubs. The service will be available on desktops, mobiles, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV.

Dugout was founded by some of the world’s biggest clubs including the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, with the firm having partnered with more than 100+ clubs since its inception.

The new OTT partnership is expected to accelerate Dugout’s growth in the Americas. In addition, Fanatiz will strengthen its ever growing rights portfolio which includes La Liga, Superliga Argentina, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Copa Argentina, among others. Dugout’s portfolio will also be available on both Fanatiz’s free and paid-for platforms.
