KPMG has renewed its title sponsorship of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open for an additional three years.

With this extension, the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be scheduled earlier than in recent years, taking place in the first week of July. This timing places it just ahead of the AIG Women’s Open Championship, aiming to enhance its appeal to top international players.

KPMG has sponsored the Women’s Irish Open since its 2022 return and views this announcement as reinforcing its commitment to advancing and empowering women’s sports in Ireland.

Stephen King, Partner at KPMG Ireland, stated: “We are incredibly proud to extend our sponsorship of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open as we continue to support golf, and women’s sport in Ireland. The tournament’s resurgence has been remarkable, and we are delighted to see its positive impact extend beyond the golf course, into the surrounding communities.

“It was fantastic to see how many young girls and boys attended this year’s tournament and we hope the KPMG Women’s Irish Open continues to be a source of inspiration to them over the coming years.”

KPMG-sponsored events have seen great success, with the 2024 Women’s Irish Open being a prime example. Hosted at Carton House, this year’s tournament attracted nearly 40,000 spectators, marking a 46% attendance increase since KPMG became the title sponsor in 2022, and reached an audience of over 100 million worldwide.

The event also delivered significant economic benefits, contributing an estimated €7m in direct spending across sectors like food, accommodation and event services, and generating €4.6m in additional economic output.

Cian Branagan, CEO of Forefront, said: “It’s wonderful to see a global brand like KPMG committing further to growing and supporting women’s golf in Ireland and it marks an amazing vote of confidence in the sport that they have decided to continue with the partnership.

“We look forward to working closely with KPMG over the next three years, continuing to provide a world-class platform on which to showcase some of the best golfing talent from Ireland and across the globe.”
