La Liga has confirmed that cryptocurrency exchange CoinW has become the league’s official regional crypto exchange partner with a series of activations to follow.

As part of the agreement, La Liga and CoinW will collaborate on bringing forth new interactive fan engagement programmes, exclusive rewards and giveaways, educational campaigns on blockchain and football-themed events throughout the year.

Sergi Torrents, Managing Director of La Liga in Greater China, said: “Innovation has always been at the heart of La Liga’s approach.

“This partnership with CoinW underscores our commitment to staying ahead of the curve while connecting with our fans in meaningful and modern ways. Blockchain and crypto are reshaping industries, and we’re excited to explore their potential with a forward-thinking partner like CoinW.”

This partnership marks the first foray into the world of sports for CoinW, which aims to leverage La Liga’s global standing as one of Europe’s most popular football leagues to enhance fan engagement through blockchain and Web3 experiences.

Home to some of the sports most popular names, such as Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Lamine Yamal, CoinW will also look to responsibly promote cryptocurrency to fans of the league to better connect their fan interest with digital assets.

“At CoinW, we are dedicated to creating a future where blockchain and sports unite, offering fans around the globe immersive and rewarding experiences,” added Nassar Achkar, Chief Strategy Officer of CoinW.

“La Liga embodies excellence, innovation, and perseverance—values that align perfectly with our mission to democratize cryptocurrency and empower communities worldwide. This collaboration is not just a milestone for CoinW; it’s a celebration of the limitless possibilities of crypto and football.”
