Formula 1 has named ALT Sports Data as the official betting data supplier as the sport says betting becomes increasingly important for global fan engagement.
As part of its role, ALT Sports Data will create real-time predictive analytics for Formula 1 betting, alongside proprietary data and odds solutions for the wagering sector.
The racing organisation has stated that this will offer fans the opportunity to bet on new markets, with the assurance that the data supporting the betting system is reliable, consistent and verified.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer for Formula 1, said: “Sports betting is an increasingly important part of the global fan experience, and Formula 1 is committed to delivering new and entertaining ways for our audiences to engage with the sport.”
Formula 1, though not commonly viewed as a betting sport, has a long-standing relationship with the gambling industry. The organisation renewed its partnership with Asian sportsbook 188BET late last year, following the conclusion of their previous five-year agreement.
Prazer added: “We are delighted to partner with ALT Sports Data whose expertise in bespoke sports betting markets and analytics makes them the perfect partner to help us drive forward in this exciting new chapter.”
ALT Sports Data boasts a large portfolio of sports partners, including Bare Knuckle, X Games and Power Slap, but Formula 1 stands out as its biggest partner to date.
Todd Ballard, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of ALT Sports Data, highlighted the organisation’s size, noting its global fanbase of 750 million people.
“It has an unmatched combination of speed, strategy, and innovation so we are thrilled to reimagine the sports betting experience for both Formula 1 fans and sports bettors alike by leveraging our industry-leading capabilities in pricing, live markets, and micro-market solutions,” Ballard concluded.
“Our goal is to create deeper engagement, enhance the live race experience, and drive meaningful connections between Formula 1 and its dedicated global audience.”
