TNT Sports will be the exclusive UK broadcaster of the upcoming men’s Ashes series in Australia, as part of a wider deal with Cricket Australia covering all men’s and women’s international fixtures across the 2025/26 season.

TNT Sports has made a decisive move to strengthen its cricket credentials, securing exclusive UK broadcast rights to England’s men’s Ashes tour of Australia – and every other international fixture played Down Under this season.

The multi-series deal with Cricket Australia covers all men’s and women’s matches from August 2025 to March 2026, including marquee white-ball series against India and South Africa, as well as the Australian women’s multi-format showdown with India early next year.

BT Sport had previously held the rights after they beat rivals Sky Sports to the England vs Australia series, allegedly paying £80 million to secure the contract from Cricket Australia.

While the Ashes remains the main event – with England chasing a first Test win in Australia since 2011 – the agreement gives TNT Sports a significant competitive edge heading into the winter sports schedule.

Every ball will be available live on TNT Sports’ linear channels and streaming platform discovery+, with additional content set to roll out across social and digital channels.

This move consolidates TNT Sports’ shift towards becoming the UK home of winter cricket, adding to its already-announced rights to England’s tours of Ireland, New Zealand and Sri Lanka

In a market where streaming giants, broadcasters and boards are all vying for reach and retention, TNT’s deal marks a rare moment where there is a single destination for one country’s entire home season.

Scott Young, EVP at WBD Sports Europe, framed the Ashes as a cultural juggernaut. “This story began in 1882 and it never fails to deliver,” he said. “The Ashes transcends cricket — this winter, we’ll see two world-class sides, two bold captains, and five unmissable Tests.”

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg called the deal a “continuation of a longstanding partnership” and pointed to the depth of content. “It’s not just the Ashes,” he noted. “UK fans will have access to a full summer of world-class cricket — from the men’s series against India and South Africa to our women’s multi-format clash with India.”

TNT’s Ashes production plans, including presenters and commentary teams, will be revealed in due course, but the broadcaster is expected to lean into cross-platform storytelling and wider digital engagement. The 2023 home Ashes series proved a ratings winner for Sky Sports, and TNT will be looking to capture similar momentum.

England haven’t won an Ashes series since 2015. They’ll open the five-Test campaign in Perth on November 21 and close in Sydney on January 8, hoping to end Australia’s home dominance and take back the urn.

Key Ashes 2025/26 fixtures on TNT Sports:

  • Nov 21–25: 1st Test – Perth Stadium
  • Dec 4–8: Day-Night Test – The Gabba, Brisbane
  • Dec 17–21: Christmas Test – Adelaide Oval
  • Dec 26–30: Boxing Day Test – MCG, Melbourne
  • Jan 4–8: Pink Test – SCG, Sydney

All fixtures will be available live on TNT Sports and discovery+, as the broadcaster doubles down on its commitment to elite international cricket coverage.
