DAZN has been announced as the exclusive Spanish broadcasting partner for Euroleague Basketball.

The live and on demand sports streaming service, will be the new home to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague from the 2019/20 season through to the 2022/23 season. DAZN has also been awarded the rights to broadcast live matches and clips for the next four seasons of the 7DAYS EuroCup.

Euroleague Basketball manages the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup, as well the sport’s premier under-18 showcase, the EB Adidas Next Generation Tournament. DAZN will bring all the action to Spanish fans wherever they are on any connected device, making the sport more accessible than ever before.

Jordi Bertomeu, President and CEO at Euroleague Basketball, emphasised: “We are very proud of this agreement with DAZN, which will bring all our games to Spanish fans through the signature streaming provider of sports in the market. DAZN’s revolutionary platform matches the innovation DNA of Euroleague Basketball, bringing the digital reach of our competitions to new heights and allowing us to grow our Spanish audience.”

Jacopo Tonoli, Chief Commercial Officer at DAZN, added: “Euroleague Basketball has shown how serious it is about growing the sport’s fanbase since its launch in 2000. We too have big ambitions and love to partner with rights holders that embrace the change in how fans want to watch sport, building their audiences through streaming. We’re expanding at an incredible pace and soon will be able to share the full details of our launch, with an unbeatable roster of rights in the market.”

This deal builds on DAZN’s announcement earlier this month that it is to launch in Spain in 2019, offering affordable and flexible access to some of the best sport in the world. The first rights announced as coming to the platform were MotoGP and English Premier League.

For the first time, Spanish fans will be able to watch these sports anytime, anywhere, with more sport to be confirmed before launch. DAZN guarantees no long-term contract, just one affordable price for access on most connected devices including TVs, smartphones, tablets, games consoles and PCs.
