Fox Sports has strengthened its position as America’s home of national team soccer as the network announced an agreement with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

The rights deal features more than 1500 football matches and makes Fox Sports the country’s exclusive home to European competitions beginning with the UEFA Nations League in June 2022.

“We are thrilled to welcome UEFA’s most-coveted events to Fox Sports’ unrivaled soccer portfolio,” commented Fox Sports CEO and Executive Producer, Eric Shanks

“The Euros fit perfectly into the world’s greatest tournaments – including the FIFA Men’s and Women’s World Cups, Conmebol Copa América and Concacaf Gold Cup – solidifying Fox Sports’ summer of soccer through 2028.”

Coverage of these competitions will be made available on the Fox Bet and Fox Bet Super 6 services, complementing the ‘user experience’ of these platforms.

The network’s six-year agreement includes rights to the following events in all languages (except Spanish and Portuguese): UEFA European Football Championship 2024, UEFA European Football Championship 2028, UEFA Nations League, UEFA National Team Competitions – including FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Euro Qualifiers – and all friendly matches controlled by UEFA.

Earlier this year, the platform furthered its rugby coverage as the 2021 Women’s Six Nations was also screened on Fox after the US broadcaster penned a one-year agreement with the tournament.

Expanding the competition’s reach to 130 territories and 100 million households, the deal – negotiated by the Pitch International agency – saw the tournament aired on the network’s Fox Soccer Plus channel.
