UEFA has announced it has renewed its sponsorship agreement with online takeaway service Just Eat as the official food delivery partner of UEFA’s club competitions until 2027.

Just Eat will remain a sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League, along with retaining sponsorship rights for the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League and UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, said: “We are thrilled to continue our dynamic partnership with Just Eat as the official food delivery partner of UEFA’s men’s club competitions.

“As a result, the matchday experience will continue to benefit fans who can enjoy the convenience of having their favourite meals delivered directly by Just Eat Takeaway.com to their doorstep, ensuring they never miss a moment of the action.

“We will also continue joint initiatives in support of UEFA’s mission to make our events and matches more sustainable and environmentally friendly.”

The Dutch company has been highly involved in UEFA competitions since its initial agreement with the European football association in 2020.

As one of the main sponsors of last year’s Champions League Final, UEFA revealed that the highest number of orders on Just Eat came from the UK, as Manchester City beat Internazionale and became the most popular match throughout the tournament when it came to ordering food on the platform.

UEFA’s partnership with Just Eat has also led to collaboration on various initiatives off the pitch, such as Champions Innovate, reducing the use of single-use plastic packaging through seaweed-lined packaging at several UEFA matches and featuring reusable materials as part of an innovative circular packaging initiative in-line with UEFA’s Circular Economy Guidelines.

Susan O’Brien, Vice President of Brand of Just Eat, added: “Football and food delivery are a perfect match. We are very proud to partner with UEFA, as it gives us a unique opportunity to engage with football fans who can order their favourite food directly from our local platforms, while watching their favourite teams play in the most prominent European football tournaments.

“The partnership continues to deliver fantastic results for our brand, driving visibility, recognition and positive perceptions of Just Eat Takeaway.com across our markets globally.”
