Fitzdares has enhanced the stateside focus of its horse racing media asset, The Racing App, adding US coverage to the platform.

The London bookmaker relaunched the Racing App in November, with the product developed by Quantum Leap Solutions. The app functions as a ‘one stop shop’, in the words of Fitzdares CEO, William Woodhams, for all horse racing content.

US features include segments on the Nick Luck Daily Podcast, the US segment of which is sponsored by the Racing App, alongside analysis from broadcaster Cornelius Lysaght.

Ian Heaney, CEO of Quantum Leap Solutions, said: “We’ve crammed top quality content and unique insight into one best-in-class app, something that shows how The Racing App really is the pinnacle of products for racing fans.

“There’s more to come too, including some even better upgrades to Speedform we’re excited to launch later this year. Our benchmark for making a race interesting is the level of content and insight we offer for British and Irish racing and we have now delivered that and more for US racing fans.”

Additional specifications of the Racing App’s US content include a video form guide for upcoming US races and distribution of live US race streams and replays. Interactive analysis tools such as Speedform and visual Draw Charts will also be included.

Fitzdares expansion of its activity in sports and racing content and media back in November forms part of a wider fan engagement strategy by the bookmaker, which states that it aims to better inform racing fans’ betting decisions.

The company sought to develop an app containing past performance ratings, in-house horse-by-horse comments, market charts, value prices, form visualisers and tips, and the Compute horse racing data quantification tool.

In an interview with Insider Sport shortly after The Racing App’s November relaunch, Fitzdares’ Woodhams explained the rationale behind the app. Horse racing needs greater data usage, Fitzdares believes, to better engage with and grow its audience.

Commenting on its US expansion, Woodhams remarked: “The concept that US racing is complicated to follow is now a myth with what The Racing App is capable of providing. Many racing fans feel they’ve never had enough data – now they have a full suite of it.

“In fact, with the insight and new interactive elements combined with the conformity of US racing, it’s actually a simpler puzzle to solve than UK racing and you could not ask for a more complete tool to aid your racing experience.

“To racing fans I say enjoy – and take advantage of the best racing service at your fingertips to back US winner after US winner.”
