Former professional cricketer Stuart Broad, notable for a long career with the England national team, has inked a partnership with Fitzdares.
The luxury bookmaker, headquartered in London and active in the UK and Ontario betting markets, will work with Broad on monthly blogs and video content across the next two years.
Broad’s content will be tailored to ‘spark debate and set the agenda’ for Fitzdares customers, the operator explained. The ex-cricketer will also make appearances at the Fitzdares Club events, exclusive events hosted by the bookmaker.
Fitzdares primary location is its members club in Belgrave, West London, but it also maintains a box at the Royal Windsor racecourse, the ‘Churchill Box’, plus another at the Naunton Downs golf course and a pop-up club at Prestbury Park.
William Woodhams, Fitzdares CEO, said: “For years, we’ve been looking for someone to be the face of the business and at last, we’ve got our man!
“Fitzdares is all about pedigree, sporting excellence and we also love a bit of mischief so who better than Stuart Broad to represent us?
“A true legend of his sport, he’s charming, charismatic and shares our love for the game. In bowling terms, this really is an absolute jaffa!”
An additional aspect of the partnership will focus on charity and social responsibility.
Fitzdares has committed to support The Broad Appeal motor neurone disease charity, offering a monthly betting pot of £500 to Broad to stake on his own choice of sporting events with all profits directed to the charity.
The agreement marks Fitzdares’ first sports sponsorship arrangement for some time, with the company having partnered with football and racing stakeholders in the past. The bookmaker’s most notable sports partnership is with Fulham FC, located just a few miles away from its West London headquarters.
Broad remarked: “Fitzdares is quirky, smart, and like to do things a bit differently. Ultimately, they play the game the right way and their members share my passion for elite sport. I can’t wait to get stuck in and help keep up their unique and personal approach.”
