Amazon Prime Video will join CBS and ESPN in broadcasting The Masters from 2026, with a new deal to stream early-round coverage that expands the tournament’s total live broadcast hours by nearly 50%.

Amazon Prime Video has reached an agreement with Augusta National Golf Club to broadcast live coverage of The Masters from April 2026, marking the tech giant’s latest move into premium sports rights.

The deal will see Amazon carry two additional hours of live coverage on the opening two rounds of the tournament, streaming from 1–3pm Eastern Time on Thursday and Friday. ESPN will then continue its existing broadcast window later in the day, while CBS retains weekend coverage of the final two rounds.

With Amazon’s involvement, total live Masters coverage is expected to expand to 27 hours – up around 50% on the 2024 schedule. The agreement complements, rather than replaces, the long-standing partnerships Augusta National maintains with US broadcasters CBS and ESPN.

Neither party has disclosed financial terms, but the move underlines both Amazon’s growing role in sports broadcasting and Augusta National’s willingness to broaden the reach of its flagship tournament across new platforms.

Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National, said the agreement would “enhance how the Tournament is presented and enjoyed”, while industry analysts suggest Amazon could experiment with features such as alternative camera feeds and interactivity, although these have not been confirmed.

The deal follows Amazon’s investments in NFL Thursday Night Football, English Premier League rights in the UK, and coverage of UEFA Champions League matches in Germany and Italy. Adding golf to its portfolio signals a further push to embed Prime Video within the live sports ecosystem.

It remains unclear whether Amazon’s Masters coverage will extend to international territories. For now, the agreement positions the company as a domestic partner in the US, complementing a broadcast arrangement that has historically been among the most stable in global sport.

The 2026 Masters will begin on April 9 and conclude on April 12.
