The Rugby World Cup 2021 has announced chemicals company INEOS as an official sponsor for the upcoming tournament.

Adding to its sports performance portfolio including New Zealand Rugby’s (NZR) seven Teams in Black, the company will support the delayed tournament, described as ‘the biggest global event in women’s 15s rugby’.

“We’re delighted to have INEOS join the Rugby World Cup 2021 family and know their focus on supporting the best high performance sports globally, will go a long way to helping us supercharge the women’s game.”

Taking place in New Zealand from 8 October – 12 November, this is the first time that the pinnacle event is being held in the Southern Hemisphere.

“INEOS is proud to support the Rugby World Cup as it brings together the best athletes on the world stage,” added Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs at INEOS, Tom Crotty.

“New Zealand’s rugby culture is unique, and this tournament will showcase excellence in women’s rugby in front of some of the most passionate fans in the world, and at the same time no doubt help inspire many people across the world to take up the sport.
