Manchester United has announced the launch of a co-branded energy drink in partnership with its official sports hydration partner WOW Hydrate.

The English Premier League club signed a multi-year partnership with WOW Hydrate in November 2023 for the latter to become its official sports hydration partner, which has resulted in numerous activations such as video content with several first-team members from both the men’s team and women’s team.

In collaboration, the two organisations have announced a new ‘Red Cherry’ energy drink, with the club joining forces with WOW Hydrate to create the beverage using the football club’s nutritionists.

Harry Maguire, Manchester United Player and WOW HYDRATE Ambassador, commented: “I’m a huge fan of the entire range but the latest, red cherry flavour is my favourite. Like all WOW HYDRATE products it’s low in calories, very tasty, and something I use to keep myself hydrated before training and on match days.”

As a result, fans will be able to purchase the drink from megastores and kiosks at the top-flight club’s stadium, Tesco and on WOW Hydrate’s website, with a pack of four priced at £4.50.

In recent months, the sports drink brand has partnered with several sporting teams and athletes across a number of sports such as, Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury, UK boxing promotion company, BOXXER, West Ham United Women’s team and ruby team, Castleford Tigers

Queenie Porter, Managing Director of WOW HYDRATE, said: “This is a huge moment for our brand. We’re delighted to launch the new co-branded product, which both parties have been heavily involved in creating. We cannot wait for Man Utd fans and the everyday consumer to taste the new cherry red flavour.

“WOW HYDRATE’s mantra is to ‘be the best’ – the new drink emulates this message and perfectly kick starts the partnership with Manchester United.”
