Sevilla FC has elevated its digital footprint as the club looks to bolster fan engagement and grow its international presence.

The club detailed key aspects of its strategic plan as it eyes retention of the ‘Sevillista essence’, whilst embracing a new younger audience.

Created by digital agency ‘Pro.Agency’, the campaign looks to boost the way the club communicates with fans and improves their overall user experience, specifically when it comes to newsletters.

The club detailed that through the digital transformation in its newsletter it has achieved 200% growth in turnover, as well as 60% growth in open rate and +100% growth in click-through rate.

Furthermore, the new designs adapt to an increasingly modern and digital language, reinforce and consolidate the brand identity, and allow for offering personalised content and benefits adapted to the different types of fans and supporters.

Outlining specific levels of growth, the club stated: “Sevilla FC grew by 32% in the number of followers on Spanish social networks in 2022, despite not having entirely satisfactory sporting results.

“A figure that has allowed the club to position itself as the 4th most followed team in LaLiga, surpassing Valencia CF and only behind Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid.

“Outside our borders, Sevilla FC has grown especially in the Asian world. In China, it was the 7th most popular European club (and 2nd Spanish club) on its main social network, Weibo, where it now has almost one million followers.”
