WhoScored.com, a football statistics site owned by Oddschecker Global Media, has become the latest client of Low6’s fan engagement solutions.

A partnership between the website and the gamification developer will see WhoScored utilise Low6’s UltimateFan free-to-play fantasy football game in the UK.

WhoScored will integrate the game into its product offering to offer ‘deeper content’ to users. The group aims to both enhance its own fan engagement capabilities whilst creating more options for commercial development.

“We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Low6 and integrate UltimateFan into our offering,” remarked Stuart Simms, CEO of Oddschecker Global Media.

“WhoScored.com has always been committed to delivering engaging content to our dedicated user base and UltimateFan adds yet another string to our bow. By joining forces with Low6, we see a tremendous opportunity to further elevate the football fan experience.

“We believe this collaboration will not only enhance user engagement but also open up new avenues for revenue generation through in-app purchases. We look forward to adding UltimateFan to WhoScored’s portfolio and offering an immersive experience to football enthusiasts globally.”

Low6’s UltimateFan app functions as a fantasy game using digital player cards, collectibles and pack openings, with users able to create line-ups, compete in weekly contests throughout a season and win prizes such as merchandise.

The Birmingham-based firm has found success with the product throughout the sports and gaming sectors across the globe, having signed partnerships with the likes of the NHL and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Sports leagues and clubs are not Low6’s only focus, however, as the company has also targeted a heightened presence in sports betting and sports betting affiliation.

This has seen partnerships with sportsbooks, such as esports-focused operator Rivalry, as well as previous collaborations with Oddschecker, such as the launch of a predictor product in August 2023.

Jamie Mitchell, CEO of Low6, said: “We are excited to partner with WhoScored.com who have built a mass following amongst sports fans and are the perfect fit to engage with our game.

“Brands are seeing the benefit of Low6 free-2-play games to not just acquire and retain users but also to open up a new revenue stream through in-app purchases”.
