Ajax has extended its long-term partnership with telecom company VodafoneZiggo until 2027, with an option to extend until 2029.

VodafoneZiggo has been Ajax’s main shirt sponsor since 2015 with the latest extension set to continue both parties’ focus on social initiatives.

Ajax and VodafoneZiggo will continue to offer exclusive content online and on Ziggo Sport, such as special live experiences and promotions through Priority. The Vodafone and Ziggo customer program will also remain part of the partnership.

Furthermore, the deal extension includes exchanging knowledge and expertise in social areas and strengthening each other’s projects. More joint projects will also be developed, with the Silence Social Hate campaign to continue.

Menno Geelen, Interim CEO of Ajax, stated: “We are grateful to VodafoneZiggo for their trust in the future of Ajax. We have been partners for almost ten years, and thanks to this unconditional support, we can work towards a better future for our club, the results we want to achieve and the impact we want to make both on and off the field.

“’A better future for everyone’ is a goal of VodafoneZiggo, and we are happy to contribute to it in the coming years.”

Robin Kroes, Director of Consumer Market at VodafoneZiggo, added: “In good times, but also in less good times. That is the essence of a true partnership. Ajax has taken significant steps in recent months, and we look forward to the coming season and beyond. Football has a unique ability to connect people, lower barriers and evoke emotions.

“It is pure entertainment, but the unifying power of football can also be used for important social issues. Both aspects are important to us, and we will continue to develop them together in the coming years.”
