Corpay and the UFC have entered into a new agreement, which sees the corporate payments company become the MMA promotion’s official global foreign exchange partner.
As a partner of the UFC, Corpay will serve as the presenting partner of select UFC Fight Nights in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. Corpay branding will also be integrated into the LED UFC Fight Deck that surrounds the Octagon ring and will be enhanced with lighting effects, graphics, animation and video.
Corpay branding will also be featured on the UFC Prep Point, a health check spot that all UFC athletes must undergo with commission officials before entering the Octagon to face their opponent.
“UFC has revolutionised the sport of mixed martial arts, and the team at Corpay Cross-Border is excited to be named their exclusive Global FX Partner,” said Brad Loder, Chief Marketing Officer, Corpay Cross-Border Solutions.
“Being recognised as an official partner of a premium global sports brand such as UFC further solidifies Corpay’s position as the currency risk management and cross-border payments solutions company of choice in the world of sports.”
Beyond the Octagon, Corpay will also have a highly visible presence at UFC fight week activities, including press conferences and weigh-ins that also serve to significantly enhance the payment company’s visibility across multiple markets.
Corpay will first activate the partnership at UFC Fight Night Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on 1 February at The Venue, marking the promotion’s first-ever show in Saudi Arabia.
Nicholas Smith, VP of Global Partnerships for TKO, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Corpay as a first-time UFC partner.
“Corpay provides a valuable service to businesses looking to streamline the way they manage and pay their expenses. We’re confident the worldwide popularity of UFC and the global reach of our platforms will help Corpay reach new customers.”
Corpay becomes the latest international UFC sponsor and partner after recently inking a deal with BetBoom to become its betting partner for Latin America, excluding Brazil.
BetBoom will be integrated into a selection of UFC events, particularly focusing on the company’s Spanish-speaking audiences and will become a presenting partner for UFC Fight Night events.
Similar to Corpay, BetBoom will receive additional brand coverage to enhance its visibility across the Octagon, press-conferences and weigh-ins.
BetBoom Chief Marketing Officer, Igor Savun, commented: “We’re beyond excited to be the official betting partner of UFC in Latin America! UFC is all about passion and adrenaline, just like BetBoom, and we can’t wait to bring fans even closer to the action.
“This partnership is a big step for us, and we’re ready to create unforgettable moments together – whether it’s through exclusive content, unique promotions, or simply sharing the excitement of every fight with the passionate UFC fans who make this sport so special.”
