La Liga has boosted its fan engagement opportunities by striking a three-year licence agreement with debuting platform IQONIQ.

As a result of the deal, fans will be able access information from La Liga through the IQONIQ app with the platform also offering a range of exclusive offers for match tickets, unique experiences, merchandising, among other sectors.

Oscar Mayo, LaLiga’s Director of Business, Marketing and International Development commented: “It’s prudent of LaLiga and its clubs to continue increasing their contact with fans around the world.

“In order to achieve this, there’s no better way than establishing this partnership with IQONIQ, the all-in-one fan engagement app that is already working with the Basketball Euroleague, McLaren Racing and several European football clubs, among others.”

The three year deal also sees IQONIQ become the competition’s global fan engagement licensed partner as La Liga looks to establish partnerships with new platforms to further increase its interaction with fans globally.

Kazim Atilla, IQONIQ’s CEO, added: “We are very excited to have signed this partnership agreement with LaLiga, and to become their exclusive and official fan engagement partner, one of the most innovative and forward-thinking sports leagues in the world. IQONIQ is seeking to revolutionise the world of fan experience, so it is vital for us that we work alongside partners that are equally committed to providing their fans with the best possible engagements and experiences.

“Through this partnership, fans of LaLiga will be given new and unique opportunities to engage with their clubs and stars and be fairly rewarded for their ongoing commitment and loyalty. We look forward to working alongside LaLiga and their global partners to fulfil our common ambitions in this regard.”

The IQONIQ app is expected to debut in the fall of 2020, however, despite not officially launching the platform has already garnered an impressive list of partners including Zenit, Monaco and Crystal Palace
