Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is extending his business portfolio and his latest investment is one close to his heart.
The striker has become an investor of Norwegian hair-tie company Bon Dep, with the 23-year-old being a frequent user of its products.
Famous for his long-blonde hair, Haaland is typically seen wearing Bon Dep hair-ties during match days and will now look to grow the company’s stature even further through his latest investment.
Haaland cited the ‘Kknekki’ hair-tie as his go to preference when playing for Manchester City and Norway and is looking to enhance the brand across the world through his status as one of the game’s most high-profile players.
Haaland commented on his recent business venture: “I’m proud to become a shareholder in Bon Dep.
“Kknekki has been my go-to hair tie for years, and it is undoubtedly the best in the world.”
Vibeke Gronseth, Founder of Bon Dep, has revealed that because of Haaland’s use of its hair-tie products, the company has embarked on a new growth phase.
It is believed that the company is aiming to double its record high revenue of £7m from last year through Haaland’s backing. Sales took a sharp increase in Bon Dep hair-ties across France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Haaland will also lean on investment company Ogreid to map out future marketing and brand opportunities as the company is a large shareholder in Bon Dep.
This becomes the second investment from Haaland after opening his portfolio with American performance health and recovery tech firm Hyperice in 2022.
