The German Football Association (DFB) has named German sportsbook Tipico as the official partner of the DFB Pokal, Germany’s annual football cup competition.

As part of the partnership, which lasts until 30 June 2026, Tipico has the right to use the logos of the two cup competitions in its advertisements, among other benefits.

Dr Holger Blask, Chair of DFB, said: “With Tipico, we welcome another partner for the DFB Cup competitions for women and men.

“We are looking forward to new activations as part of the two traditional competitions with their finals in Cologne and Berlin. In partnership, we also want to continue and intensify our extensive efforts to deal responsibly with sports betting.”

Additionally, the agreement enables Tipico to display its logo around the matches in the DFB Cup for both men and women, appearing on advertising boards and across the digital platforms of the competitions and the DFB.

In 2022, the DFB, which has consistently attracted numerous partnerships through the DFB Pokal over the years, entered into a significant ongoing agreement with IMG Arena. This partnership allows IMG Arena to distribute DFB Pokal content through the firm’s sportsbook operators, further expanding the reach and engagement of the tournament.

Kajetan Strini-Brown, Director of Marketing Acquisition at Tipico, stated: “With the DFB at our side, we now play in the same team as a co-partner of the DFB Cup and strengthen our role as the largest sports betting provider in German football.

“The DFB-Pokal, known for its dramatic games and surprising twists and turns, is also a perfect fit for Tipico, as we always strive to offer our customers an emotional, exciting and safe sports betting experience.”
