NSE names UNiDAYS as head sponsor of BUEC
UK university esports body National Student Esports (NSE) has renewed its deal with UNiDAYS, a student discount platform.
At the heart of the renewal, UNiDAYS LVL UP became the new headline sponsor of the body and the British University Esports Championship (BUEC).
Additionally, the discount platform will aim to increase its presence during the 2024/25 championships through regular-season tournaments, which are set to take place throughout October.
The pair first partnered in 2023 to support gamers representing their universities. Since then, the university scene has continued to grow, with 113 universities competing during the 2023/24 academic year, making it one of the largest grassroots esports initiatives in the UK.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director at NSE, remarked: “We are incredibly excited to see UNiDAYS step up as the headline partner for NSE.
“UNiDAYS’ dedication to supporting student communities aligns perfectly with NSE values, and together, we are poised to create a more engaging and impactful environment for student gamers across the UK. We look forward to a brilliant future and the many opportunities this deeper partnership will bring for the NSE community.”
In August, SteelSeries announced its plans to boost BUEC with premium gaming gear, providing Arctis Nova Series gaming headsets for use by participants at the BUEC 2025 finals.
