The Premier League named Coca-Cola as its new official soft drink partner yesterday (May 21) in a deal set to commence at the start of the 2025/26 season.

The three-year partnership will see the Coca-Cola brand receive significant exposure across Premier League broadcasts and its digital channels, as well as cultivate fan engagement opportunities, such as access to tickets to games in the future.

At the start of the 2025/26 season, the global beverage company will release an exclusive on-pack promotion across stores in the UK and Ireland in support of the start of a new Premier League season.

Sponsorship revenue from the new deal will also support the league financially, after posting a total revenue turnover of £3.63bn last season and a profit after tax of £118.2m.

Will Brass, Premier League Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Coca-Cola as the Official Soft Drink Partner of the Premier League. Coca-Cola is loved and enjoyed by millions around the world, much like the Premier League, and brings years of experience in top level sport sponsorship and fan engagement.

“We look forward to working together over the coming seasons to drive further success for us both through this expansive, exciting partnership.”

For Coca-Cola, partnering with the Premier League represents another marketing opportunity to grow its brand internationally, as the English top-flight is the most-watched domestic football league in the world.

It also enables the company to grow the visibility of some of its brands within its portfolio, such as Coca-Cola Zero, Powerade and Smartwater

Javier Meza, President of Marketing, Europe, Coca-Cola, added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Premier League, the most competitive and compelling football league in the world.

“Football and the Premier League is a global passion, and we look forward to uplifting fans and making their experience even better by bringing them closer to the action.”

A revitalised partnership

For the Premier League, partnering with a globally renowned brand like Coca-Cola reinforces the league’s ambitions to become the premiere domestic football league in Europe and the world.

Coca-Cola was the Premier League’s official soft drink partner from 2018-2022. Following the partnership’s  end at the time, the Premier League failed to secure a new soft drinks partner, subsequently falling back to a new agreement with Coca-Cola, which was reported by Insider Sport in March 2025.

As part of the new deal, Coca-Cola will become a partner of the Premier League Summer Series, highlighting its brand during pre-season friendly games featuring Manchester United, Everton, West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth in the US this summer.

Further fan engagement activations will include centre circle experiences and access to tickets for Premier League games.

The league is set for further financial growth once the new four-year broadcast rights agreement comes into effect at the start of the 2025/26 season. The agreement with Sky Sports and TNT Sports is worth £6.7bn in its entirety, a record-breaking deal for a European football league.
