Mastercard and SNB launch UEFA Champions League-themed cards

The Saudi National Bank (SNB) has launched a collaboration with Mastercard that will upgrade payments for football fans in the Kingdom.

To celebrate the Mastercard-sponsored UEFA Champions League, SNB has launched a new lineup of prepaid and cashback credit cards.

Members of the new card programme can earn cashback rewards on all of their purchases, while also being eligible to win exclusive prizes like UEFA Champions League match tickets and various discounts from partnering retailers.

Global football has seen a recent influx of Saudi investments, with the country drawing international eyes to its domestic league by signing players like Neymar, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. 

The migration of European football superstars to Saudi Arabia was even addressed at one point by UEFA’s President, who refuted any claims that this could lead to a decline in viewership numbers or a potential entry of a Saudi team into the Champions League. 

However, top European football remains a hot topic in the Kingdom, with the recent SNB and Mastercard collaboration serving as evidence of that.
