The National Football League (NFL) has announced crypto exchange Bitpanda as an official European partner ahead of its upcoming regular-season games in the continent.
Under the agreement, the NFL will offer Bitpanda branding opportunities both inside and outside the stadium, beginning with the New York Giants vs Carolina Panthers game at Allianz Arena on 10 November.
The league has also highlighted that Bitpanda has secured media deals with major NFL broadcasters such as RTL, DAZN and BeIN, guaranteeing significant brand visibility across NFL coverage in Europe. Additionally, Bitpanda will work with NFL legends and commentators Sebastian Vollmer and Markus Kuhn to create exclusive content throughout the season.
Alexander Steinforth, General Manager of NFL Germany, commented: “We are impressed by the holistic concept with which Bitpanda wants to support football in Germany. We feel that the passion for football was the starting point for the partnership, and we want to build all our joint activations on this.”
The partnership aligns with the NFL’s growing presence in Europe, especially in Germany. Since 2022, the league has held regular-season games in German stadiums, building a dedicated fanbase and capitalizing on the influence of major NFL stars in the region.
Bitpanda is hoping to make the most of this deal, as it fits with the company’s marketing strategy of partnering with sports organisations. Last month, the company also announced a deal with Serie A club AC Milan to become its official crypto partner.
Eric Demuth, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitpanda, said: “I love football, I love the NFL. Football is a growing sport in Europe that is reaching more and more people more quickly.
“It therefore makes perfect sense for us to enter into a partnership with the NFL. Through this collaboration, we aim to bring the excitement and energy of American football closer to the Bitpanda community.
“By combining our cutting-edge technology with the NFL’s global reach and passionate fanbase, we’re creating ground-breaking experiences that will resonate with both American football fans and investors. This is just the beginning of what we believe will be a game-changing partnership.”
