Ligue 1 side AS Monaco has partnered with financial technology company Ebury to help grow the club’s global operations.
Ebury will provide AS Monaco with “comprehensive, market-leading expertise” in international transactions to boost the speed of payments and also support the internationalisation of the club in different countries.
Furthermore, Ebury’s branding will also feature prominently on the training kit of AS Monaco’s squad throughout the 2024/25 season.
Thibaut Chatelard, Marketing & Revenue Director of AS Monaco, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Ebury as a partner of AS Monaco.
“Ebury has made it their mission to transcend borders, and our Club has always embraced international connections. This partnership is a natural fit, and we eagerly anticipate its launch.”
Ebury looks to empower businesses to trade and expand internationally, offering a range of products such as international payments and collections, business lending, FX risk management, and a Mass Payments solution.
The firm boasts a dedicated business unit focused on fostering global growth within the sports sector. The team supports sports brands, agents, and athletes by enabling efficient athlete signings, global merchandising, sponsorships, advertising, and significant capital expenditure through Ebury’s solutions.
For a club like AS Monaco, with an eye on branching out to markets where football is developing in countries such as the US and China, the ability to accelerate its cross-border payments will enable the club to speed the process of its business aspirations.
Peter Brooks, Global Head of Sports at Ebury, stated: “We are thrilled to partner with AS Monaco. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to be involved with a club that boasts such a rich history and has nurtured some of the greatest talents in the game.
“Furthermore, this collaboration goes beyond just working with the club; it is a testament to our commitment to business within the Monaco principality and its growth on a global scale. We look forward to embarking on this journey with the club and fostering a strong, long-term relationship with the region.”
