Topgolf enlists BetMGM as sports betting partner

BetMGM has announced a new partnership with Topgolf Entertainment Group, focused on an integrated sports betting and entertainment experience at venues across the US.

Under the terms of the collaboration , the duo will engage with customers on a large scale whilst searching for new audiences using digital and in-person methods.

In addition, the partners will cooperate on promotions and marketing via BetMGM’s platform at select Topgolf venues and within the latter’s popular online game WGT, which has been in operation since 2016.

“We look forward to introducing Topgolf guests to the immersive sports betting experience that only BetMGM can provide,” said Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM.

“Topgolf is known for offering unique and interactive entertainment options, which our loyal BetMGM users can now access through a variety of exclusive and customized packages.”

Topgolf is a technology-based global sports and entertainment community, which aims to connect fans via experiences and innovation.

The agreement will see BetMGM digital branding feature in Topgolf cities where the casino and sportsbook operator maintains a presence, including the Topgolf marquee at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Other locations include Detroit, Denver, Nashville and Virginia beach. Finally, there are also plans for expansion, as BetMGM will launch branding and promotional activity in other Topgolf locations as its sports betting and gaming platforms enter new states.

“We are thrilled to partner with BetMGM as we continue to energize and grow our entertainment communities,” added JF Prata, Topgolf Media Chief Operating Officer.

“Topgolf has always been committed to providing new and exciting experiences to our guests, and this partnership delivers on that, while providing our long-time fans, as well as those less familiar with Topgolf, an introduction to a complementary experience with BetMGM.”

As an increasing amount of US states legalise online sports betting, BetMGM has been keen to forge new sponsorship agreements to better promote its brand and operations.

In December the operator named the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Philadelphia 76ers its ‘Official Betting Partner,’ launching a range of branded casino games themed around the franchise, as well as gaining access to the team’s digital and social media platforms.
