BetMGM returns to Foxx for new NFL season

BetMGM has once again teamed up with Jamie Foxx to showcase the excitement of placing a bet in a new promotional video.

Foxx’s advert will air with the start of the National Football League’s (NFL) new season on 7 September this Thursday, when Super Bowl defending champions Kansas City Chiefs face the Detroit Lions at the Arrowhead Stadium.

BetMGM’s new campaign consists of two videos, with the first one showing Foxx playing the piano at the Park MGM’s NoMad Library while athletes from various sports go against each other, destroying the decor in a spectacular fashion that is typical in live betting.

“Love and respect to my BetMGM family,” Foxx said. “It means a lot to be rocking with such a great brand year after year. And you know we had a good time filming in Vegas!”

The second segment, which will be revealed later this month, consists of Foxx taking a stroll through Park MGM while exploring all the wagering options available on the BetMGM app.

Foxx then makes his way to a BetMGM-branded race car and drives off into the night – a nod to this year’s November Las Vegas Strip race. BetMGM ambassador Wayne Gretzky also makes a cameo.

Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s CRO, said: “Jamie Foxx is an integral part of the BetMGM story, putting us on the global stage of sports and entertainment. As we enter this dynamic partnership’s fourth year, Jamie and the creative talents at 72andSunny took it to a new level showcasing our unique product and connectivity to MGM Resorts’ iconic Las Vegas destinations.”

As part of the new season, BetMGM will offer new customers the chance to wager up to $1,500 on their first bet and receive a payback in bonus bets for a losing wager.

Geno Burmester, Creative Director at 72andSunny, added: “We wanted to kick things off with a bang this year and give our ads the same feel of action and adrenaline you get from using the BetMGM app.

“We were fortunate to get the opportunity to work with Jamie who brought it in a way only Jamie Foxx can. And a big thanks to our director, Wayne McClammy, who elevated everything to feel larger than life with the quintessential Vegas heritage of MGM Resorts.”
