The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has partnered with FanUp to offer Bellator Champions Series fans gamified contests with prizes.
FanUp will introduce points-based sweepstakes and fantasy games for all Bellator events through this partnership. Fantasy gaming will also be developed for the PFL’s regional leagues, offering fans a way to engage with the sport and win exclusive prizes and VIP experiences, including meet-and-greets with fighters.
Additionally, FanUp’s branding will be displayed inside the PFL SmartCage at all Bellator events. Bellator fighters will act as ambassadors for the platform as well, promoting the fantasy contests and sharing insights to improve the fan experience.
Bryan Calka, Chief Commercial Officer at the PFL, commented: “The PFL is excited to partner with FanUp to introduce fun and engaging fantasy contests for MMA fans around the world. FanUp is a game-changing product and we are enthusiastic to work together and deliver MMA fans with unique opportunities across Bellator Champions Series events.”
Founded in 2021, FanUp is a platform that allows fans to win prizes such as cash, merchandise and exclusive experiences through interactive games and contests. The company has previously partnered with various sports and entertainment organisations to enhance fan engagement.
Tej Bodiwala, Founder and CEO of FanUP, said: “We’re thrilled and proud to announce a strategic partnership with Bellator. It’s an exciting and electric partnership between companies that share synergies across connected gaming, fan experiences and global expansion.
“The combined effect of easy-to-play contests, community and rewards for every fan globally, make this partnership a model of concinnity. We look forward to offering fans of PFL, Bellator and FanUp across the world the most fun and easy contests, gaming and fan experiences.”
Earlier this year, the PFL secured a deal with Canal+ to gain exposure through its sports channels in Sub-Saharan Africa. This agreement features PFL events with French commentary, reaching eight million homes across the region.
